President Joe Biden stumbled three times while climbing the stairs to Air Force One. Although the White House insists that the president is “one hundred percent fine,” the media is having a field day rehashing the story about the 78-year-old president. The incident occurred at the Joint Base Andrews before Biden was set to leave on a noon flight to Atlanta, Georgia.

However, Biden lost his footing while climbing the stairs. He had to grab onto the handrail to steady himself and then had to do it a second and a third time. On the third slip, he collapsed to his knees. He rose back to his feet and continued the climb up to the top of the stairs. When he made it to the top, he turned around and gave a salute before entering the aircraft.

As Biden settled into his seat on the plane, White House Deputy Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters that Biden was “one hundred percent fine” and was just preparing for his trip to Atlanta. She added, “It’s pretty windy outside. It’s very windy. I almost fell coming up the steps myself.”

Gusts were measured to be at least nineteen-miles-per-hour at Joint Base Andrews at the time of Biden’s departure. According to the internationally recognized Beaufort Scale, this wind would be classified as a “fresh breeze.”

After landing in Atlanta, Biden waited for Vice President Kamala Harris to join him on Air Force One. She had arrived in Atlanta on Air Force Two and needed to switch planes to join Biden in preparation for this meeting to prepare for the agenda of the day.

When their meeting was over, Harris followed Biden down the stairs. He walked pretty slowly on his way down while reporters watched every move.

Now, Biden’s falls on the stairs into Air Force One have given fresh ammunition to conservatives pundits who continue to question Biden’s mental wellbeing. Over the last few months, Biden has had a series of slip-ups that were made.

The falls mentioned in this story occurred a day after Biden referred to his vice president as “President Harris.”

Meanwhile, pundits like Donald Trump Jr. are criticizing the media for not bashing Biden for his falls on his climb up to Air Force One.

“I remember the press bashing Trump for touching the rail once. Biden falls repeatedly, but I’m sure he’s the picture of health. No wonder all our enemies are pouncing simultaneously and mocking him publicly.”

Earlier this week, Biden called Russian President Vladimir Putin a “killer,” which caused the world leader to react by withdrawing an envoy to the United States. Pundits now fear that the relationship between the United States and Russia is in danger.

During his first few months as president, Biden has already exceeded his COVID-19 vaccination goals.

“Remember when I said my goal was going to have 100 million shots in people’s arms in the first 100 days as president, and everybody said …’ Oh, yeah, right,’” he told the CDC workers. “Now it’s… ‘Why didn’t they say more?’”
